Healing is the exploration and process of making paint from natural pigments of nature. The idea of Healing was inspired by a tough phase in the artist's life where she discovered the magic of 'Slow Living'; learning to be connected to the present, and focus on the journey instead of the destination. After the passing of her grand-uncle and many oil painters in history due to cancer, she started living by the 5 Yamas(moral codes of Life) from the Yoga philosophy.
One of the Yamas being Ahimsa(Non-violence), the artist became interested in her own body, health and mind where she focuses on self-care and self-healing. A part of it was experimenting with making paint from non-toxic materials such as nature. Being an oil painter, the term 'healing' does not only mean healing mentally but also healing physically and staying healthy, as the artist deals with inhaling toxic substances from oil paint everyday.
The installation consists of the artist's personal space at home where she focuses more on slowing down and also on the process of her explorations more than the outcome. It aims to bring audiences into the artist's silent life in her personal space. where she heals in all ways.

Dear Diary, which is now Fresh Start, was a two-piece artwork by Sarah N Bat made in 2017. It was the most difficult time for the young adult at that time. She painted two pages from her diary that she kept to herself, where she was able to express freely without restrictions. The diary was also the only space she was able to be most of herself. To paint them on huge canvases, and putting them out there for the world to see, it was a practice of learning to be herself outside of her diary, to breathe freedom. Today in 2021, after years of rollercoaster rides, growing and learning as an individual on this earth, the artist is ready to get rid of the pasts. In Fresh Start, these old precious artworks that have been safely kept, were painted over to portray the message of how easy it is turning over a new leaf.
